The Company has an independent Internal Audit Office that reports directly to the Board of Directors. It aims to assist the Company to achieve its objective by reviewing the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the internal control system.

Also, the Company has revised the management rules and regulations, and the way in which the appointment and dismissal of internal auditors, their appraisal and salary and remuneration are determined is reported to the chairman of the board by the audit officer and disclosed on the Company's website.

Based on the risk assessment, the internal audit unit prioritizes high-risk operations in its annual audit plan to step up preventive measures, and regularly checks compliance with the preceding system and submits audit reports to the board of directors on a regular basis. Moreover, through the Company's annual internal control self-assessment exercise, each department reviews its own internal control system to ensure the effectiveness of the system's design and implementation.
